How
have the postprocessing routines been
updated?
For version 6.40 the definitions of PM2.5
and PM10
have been changed to correctly include PEC
(Primary Elemental Carbon) and a
factor is now applied to POA (Primary
Organic Aerosols). This factor
was recommended by EPA to take into
account for the different
methodologies for converting mass of
organic carbon to mass of organic
materials in the emissions inventories
and at monitoring sites.
The same changes
apply to version 7.03 but the new,
four-part SOA (Secondary Organic
Aerosols) treatment is now properly
implemented.
